The long-awaited Discord integration with the PlayStation Network (PSN) is finally rolling out to subscribers in the U.S., following a Sony-Discord partnership announcement way back in May 2021. Discord users with PSN accounts can now link them to their profiles directly and broadcast to the world the games they are playing at the moment automatically. They can also feature their PlayStation Network online ID prominently in their Discord profiles so friends on everyone's favorite communications platform can follow them and see if there are any cross-platform titles played to shoot the breeze over.
There will be two options to choose from once you connect your PlayStation and Discord accounts - "Display on Profile" and "Display PlayStation Network as your status" - which let you pick the level of PSN activity you'd like visible on your Discord profile. The "Display PlayStation Network as your status" checkmark is the one to turn on if you want your PS or PS5 game of choice to feature on your Discord profile in real time.
In order to display your current game status on Discord, you'd also have to alter your PSN Privacy Settings visibility options to "Anyone" in the "PSN Online Status' and "Now Playing" menus. Discord says that the PlayStation account integration feature is rolling out on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android, and the web app for users in the U.S., with more countries to be added later on.
