MSI has launched new gaming desktops that contain Intel’s powerful 12th Gen Alder Lake CPUs. Intel’s cutting-edge technology boosts multi-core performance by up to 7% when compared to 11th Gen. Furthermore, these systems utilise DDR5 memory, whose read speeds are 60% faster than DDR. The MSI gaming desktops also run Windows 11 and thus, support Direct Storage technology and auto HDR. The MSI 12th Gen Intel Gaming series desktops comprise of the MEG Aegis Ti5, MEG Trident X and MAG Codex X5.
The MEG Aegis Ti5 is the flagship model and features an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU for enthusiasts. To maximise performance, the components are outfitted with MSI’s Silent Storm Coolingcooling technology. The desktop also has the world’s first HMI Gaming Dial, which provides gamers with the ability to instantly modify system performance settings and customise animations.
The MEG Trident X targets gamers who desire desktops with a smaller footprint. MSI employs Silent Storm 3 heat dissipation technology and an enlarged heat sink for efficient cooling of the compact Trident series. The PC manufacturer claims that the heat sink covers a 26% larger surface area than the previous generation, thereby optimising gaming performance.
The MAG Codex X5 is also equipped with high-end parts including an Intel Core i9-12900K CPU and an NVIDIA RTX 3090 GPU as well as 2.5G Ethernet and WiFi 6E network in an ‘aggressive’ desktop build. This Codex desktop sports a large glass side panel and customisable RGB lighting.
