WhatsApp is developing a new multi-device feature that will allow users to link their main account to another tablet or phone

How will it work?

When you link your WhatsApp on another cellular device for the first time, it will sync your chats from the first device with end-to-end encryption. Later on, whenever the user opens WhatsApp on a second cellular device, it will download all messages from the server and without needing the primary phone to be connected to the internet.

Currently, this feature is under development on WhatsApp for iOS and it should be available on compatible iPads. As per the report, the multi-device support on the second cellular device will also be available on Android tablets. If the feature will be rolled out only for tablets or if it will include smartphones is yet to be confirmed, but it is highly likely that it will allow users to connect up to two cellular devices including smartphones.

Roll out

At the moment, the multi-device feature is being developed for WhatsApp for iOS beta, and the company is also working to get the feature on Android devices, but the exact date of its release is unknown.SEE ALSOOnePlus blames voltage fluctuation after a user reports Nord 2 charger explosionElon Musk and Grimes have broken up after 3 years of datingAdvertisementHow to make Tab Groups in Safari on your iPhone with iOS 15 or Mac with Safari 15, and keep your tabs organized{{}}NewsletterSIMPLY PUT - where we join the dots to inform and inspire you.
